Lucas’ cycling tours

An incomplete list of bicycle tours I’ve been on. I might backfill some more eventually.

2026

• 2026-04-04: Another bathing spot round trip to this beach and back again. I created the route in Wanderer, to try it out, then got navigated by OsmAnd as usual. GPX track (view), Mastodon thread.
• 2026-05-24: Followed a Wanderer route that I found on the trails.tchncs.de instance (noticed too late that it’s a hiking route, not a cycling route, lol), then went from there to Bammelecke and back. GPX track (view), Mastodon thread.
• 2026-05-31: Just a random tour around northeastern Berlin, passing by Weißer See, Malchower See and Krugwiesen / Hohenschönhausener See. GPX track (view), Mastodon thread.
• 2026-06-07: The ADFC Sternfahrt! (English Wikipedia claims this is called a feeder ride in English?) I joined at Erkner and we went via Friedrichshagen, Spindlersfeld, Adlershof, Blaschkoallee, Südring and Kaiserdamm to Großer Stern, from where I then went back home on my own. Unfortunately the GPX track in OsmAnd seems to have ended up quite incomplete for some reason, not sure why. GPX track (such as it is; view), Mastodon thread.

2025

• 2025-04-13: A trip to Bammelecke and back. I used BRouter + OsmAnd for the way there and Organic Maps for the way back; unfortunately I didn’t start a recording in OsmAnd so there’s only a track for the way back. GPX track (view), Mastodon thread.
• 2025-04-20: A round-trip suggested by cycle.travel. Navigation and recording done by OsmAnd. GPX track (view), Mastodon thread.
• 2025-04-27: Like 2025-04-20, just a bit longer. GPX track (view), Mastodon thread.
• 2025-05-19: A mountain bike tour (with loaned equipment) from Oberbozen to the Rittnerhorn and back. My first mountain bike experience, I think, and it showed (if you plot the speed on the way there it should be fairly hilarious). • 2025-06-01: A shorter round-trip suggested by cycle.travel, navigated and recorded by OsmAnd. GPX track (view), Mastodon thread.
• 2025-06-09: Another round-trip suggested by cycle.travel, navigated and recorded by OsmAnd. (I’m definitely starting to notice some repetition between the cycle.travel suggestions, by the way.) GPX track (view), Mastodon thread.
• 2025-06-15: A return trip from Groß Köris to Berlin, navigated and recorded by OsmAnd following instructions from BRouter. GPX track (view), Mastodon thread.
• 2025-06-22: A round trip to a bathing beach and back, with the route planned by cycle.travel and the navigation and recording done by OsmAnd. (I had to restart the navigation at one point after I briefly went off course, returned, and OsmAnd thought I now wanted to be on the return trip, but fortunately the app kept the recording alive throughout.) I had meant to go to the Große Krampe beach, but the route went right past another beach and I stopped there and only realized it wasn’t actually the one I had meant to go to as I got ready to return. • 2025-08-16: Another bathing spot round trip; I told OsmAnd to route me first to Gosen, then to Badestelle Bammelecke (though I actually stopped at the beach next to it), then back home. GPX track (view), Mastodon thread.
• 2025-08-31: Another bathing spot round trip, counterclockwise around Müggelsee, with a stop at Strandbad Müggelsee. I don’t know why OsmAnd / BRouter took such a long detour through Hessenwinkel and Neu-Venedig to get there, are there really no “earlier” places to cross the Müggelspree into Rahnsdorf before Triglawbrücke? • 2025-09-20: Another bathing spot round trip to this beach and back again, navigated directly by OsmAnd / BRouter. GPX track (view), Mastodon thread.
• 2025-09-21: Yet another bathing spot round trip, this time to this other beach and back again. Planned by cycle.travel, navigated and recorded by OsmAnd. I also took a handful of photos for Wikimedia Commons on the way back. GPX track (view), Mastodon thread.
